What makes a Violino sofa different

Many furniture brands design pieces and buy in the parts. Violino keeps more of the process under its own roof, which shows in a few places.

In-house foam. Violino makes its foam in its own facility, rather than buying it in. Foam decides how a seat feels on day one and how well it holds its shape over the years.

Leather from established tanneries. The leather comes from tanneries in Italy, Brazil and other countries. The models we carry are upholstered in premium leather that's easy to wipe clean and suits modern, clean-lined rooms.

Precision sewing. The covers are sewn on precision industrial machines, which gives clean, even seams and stitching on the armrests and headrests.

How they're built

On the Violino power sofas we carry, leather and fabric alike, the construction is:

  • Frame: plywood and solid wood
  • Cushioning: high-resilience foam that springs back after you stand up
  • Seat support: elastic webbing, with pocket springs added on the KOVA
  • Extra softness: the MASHIE adds dacron fibre and feather filling to its seats
  • Motion: power recline at the touch of a button, and a power headrest on selected models
